Following her retirement as an architect, Bren sought meaningful volunteer work that matched her technical expertise. Her background in building design and code compliance made her the perfect fit as Sister-Corps expanded into long-term home repair and rebuilding efforts. She now serves as a skilled project director and teaches carpentry techniques to volunteer teams each year, playing a key role in elevating the quality and safety of our rebuild projects.
