Disaster & Community Recovery

Hands-on disaster recovery and community support when it matters most

After the immediate emergency response has passed, Sister-Corps women volunteers’ step in to help communities begin the longer journey of recovery. With compassion, dignity, and practical support, our volunteers work alongside local partners and residents to restore safe, livable spaces.

Our work focuses on environmental cleanup and hands-on rebuilding projects that help communities move forward. From drywall installation and painting to flooring, cabinetry, and building decks and accessibility ramps, Sister-Corps volunteers help repair homes and community spaces so families can return to normal life.

Working in partnership with community leaders and local organizations, we help address ongoing needs and support the long-term recovery process. Through volunteer-driven cleanup and rebuilding projects, Sister-Corps is committed to serving communities with care, collaboration, and purpose.

Hands-On Disaster Recovery and Community Rebuilding

After the first responders leave, Sister-Corps volunteers step in to help communities begin the long road to recovery.

Environmental Cleanup

Sister-Corps volunteers lead hands-on environmental cleanup projects that restore safety and health to communities and natural spaces. From disaster debris removal to riverbed cleanups and invasive plant removal in parks and public lands, our teams help restore environments and support the recovery process.
