Responding to a critical shortage of blood and blood products nationwide, our volunteers across the nation galvanized their state into getting volunteers. When our volunteers see community needs, they put a regional project into motion from a charitable house painting for a disabled person to a paint job for a neglected county park in Minnesota Or, in another situation, a seriously neglected, but historic cemetery in Spokane (WA). Volunteers across the nation rallied to collect backpacks stuffed with basic necessities of health and hygiene for women in domestic violence shelters. Luggage of Love, now referred to as “Serving Community” donated hundreds and hundreds of these backpacks.
